Get Healthy, Stay Healthy at Rec Center

The Student Rec Center offers a number of programs. Some are the following.

Weight Management Program

This program offers group support PLUS nutrition guidance and personal training. Join registered dietician, Jill Shaw R.D., from the Wellness Center, fitness director and coordinator, Dr. Heather Sanderson and Sarah McCollum along with personal trainers throughout this 10-week program.  Become involved in weekly group support meetings to include nutrition and healthy lifestyle workshops, group and personal exercise. They provide participants small group support to help you stay on track to meet your weight management goals.

Dates: Feb. 1 – April 12

Sessions: Monday and Tuesday

Time: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Cost: $89

Limited to 15 participants.

Power Yoga with Nancy Thornton, RYT

Receive more in-depth training with this experienced instructor certified through The Yoga Institute.

Session I:  Jan. 26 – March 4

Days: Tuesday/Thursday

Time:12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Pilates with Ann Hardee

Pilates mat exercises are designed to strengthen, lengthen and balance the body using a systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns.

Session I: Jan. 25 – March 3

Days: Monday/Wednesday

Time:12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

You make take both days per week for $55/session or one day per week for $30/session for Power Yoga and Pilates.

Group Exercise

Session I: Jan, 25 – March 4

Over 40 classes per week. Free to members.

Classes such as Aqua, Boot Camp, Cardio Dance, Cycle, Power Cut, Step, TurboKick, YogaFit, and Zumba.
