Food for Fines, at University Libraries

Help feed Greensboro this Valentines Day. From Feb. 8-14, Jackson Library and Music Library patrons may pay their overdue book fines with canned food.

If you have any unpaid overdue book fines, and you have returned the materials to the library, UNCG Libraries will waive $1 of your fines for each can of food you donate. Credit will be given only for unpaid overdue fines on Jackson and Music library books that have been returned. No credit can be given towards payment of lost items, billing fees, damaged charges, etc. Also, if you have no fines, credit cannot be banked for future use. Of course, people without any overdue fines are still welcome to donate canned food.

All proceeds will benefit Urban Ministries of Greensboro. For more information on this program, contact Joe Williams, Access Services, Jackson Library.
