Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition at WAM

An exhibition of students’ work will open Sunday, May 2, at the Weatherspoon. A public reception begins at 2 p.m.

The “2010 Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition” features work by eight candidates in the Department of Art graduate program: Kristin Ashley (drawing), Eric Kniss (sculpture), Heath Montgomery (painting), Sam Peck (printmaking), Christian Ryan (digital media/performance), Melissa Sullivan (photography), Matthew Thomason (sculpture/drawing), and Liliya Zalevskaya (digital media/performance).

The MFA exhibition demonstrates the energy and commitment of the students who engaged in numerous critiques with faculty, visiting artists, and their peers to develop significant bodies of work.

The exhibition runs through June 6.
