Dr. Corey Johnson

Dr. Corey Johnson (Geography) has begun a nine-month fellowship with the Transatlantic Academy studying “The Competition for Natural Resources – The New Geopolitical Great Game?” Johnson and five other 2011-12 fellows are in residence in Washington, DC, at the headquarters of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, one of the academy’s founding partners. They will write articles and papers, participate in academic conferences and collaborate to produce a report by the spring. The fellows will consider how the rise of new economic powers, climate change, a rapidly growing and increasingly urban world population, and other factors will increase the competition for natural resources in the years ahead, and how this will impact the transatlantic community.
