Louise Raleigh

Louise Raleigh, academic professional associate professor, is the new clinic director of the UNCG Speech and Hearing Center. It is a part of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in HHS.

She will succeed Vicki McCready. Raleigh was selected as Assistant Clinic Director a few years ago in preparation for taking over these duties. Raleigh is a nationally certified and state-licensed speech-language pathologist. She has provided speech-language services in a variety of settings to individuals across the lifespan. As a clinical educator in CSD she has supervised and taught at UNCG for 14 years. She was also the UNCG Campus Coordinator for the statewide North Carolina Consortium for Distance Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her areas of clinical and research interest include reading and writing disorders, foreign accent modification and clinical supervision. She has presented both locally and nationally on the topic of clinical supervision. In 2008 she was honored as the North Carolina Supervisor of the Year by the North Carolina Association of Supervisors in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Raleigh will assume her duties as clinic director on July 1.
