Halloween ‘BOO and Gold’

Already have plans for Halloween? There’s plenty here on campus to get you in the spirit in the days beforehand. UNCG’s Campus Activities & Programs calls the run-up to 2012 Homecoming week and to Halloween the “BOO And Gold HalloWeekend.”

Some of the university’s highlights:

Friday, Oct. 26

  • Movie – “Spiderman,” School of Education Building, Room 114, 7 p.m.
  • Scary Foust Haunted House, Mary Foust Residence Hall, 7 p.m.-midnight

Saturday, Oct. 27

  • Greek Treats (trick or treat / games) , UNCG Soccer Stadium, 5 p.m., followed by the Men’s Soccer vs. Elon
  • Movie – “Spiderman,” EUC Auditorium, 7 p.m.
  • Organ Spooktacular – 7:30 p.m., Organ Hall, Music Building

Sunday, Oct. 28

  • Movie – “Spiderman,” EUC Auditorium, 2 p.m.
  • Open Mic “Scary-Oke” featuring Jacob Nun and the UNCG Sapphires, Barnes & Noble Cafe, EUC, 5 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 29

Halloween, Oct. 31

  • “Halloween Hoopla,” with candy and games, at the Career Services Center, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Spartan Restaurant will serve its Halloween Boo-fet from 4-8 p.m. Winners of pumpkin carving contest will be announced.

Thursday, Nov. 1

Halloween may be over, but the “bone-chilling” thrills are not.

  • German thriller film “Der Knochenmann (The Bone Man),” in German with English subtitles, 7 p.m, Shaw Residence Hall on Quad, Multipurpose Room Location changed to MHRA 1215
