UNCG Campus Weekly

Campus Weekly is published each Wednesday when classes are in session. In the summer, it is published biweekly.

What is Campus Weekly … and how do I submit information?

Campus Weekly is a news source for UNC Greensboro faculty and staff. It provides details of upcoming events and information faculty and staff may need to know. In addition, it serves a community-building function, allowing readers to learn news in other departments and schools, as well as learn a bit more about individuals around campus.

It supports the UNC Greensboro Plan for Taking Giant Steps.

Campus Weekly is published by University Communications.

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday at 5 p.m., which is five days before posting date. Submissions will be edited for consistency in style, tone and length. Items will be included in the Campus Weekly enewsletter, which is emailed to all faculty and staff each Wednesday.

In Fall 2009, Campus Weekly became an exclusively online publication, first in pdf format, then in January 2010 in an online format. Its current format was established in August 2011. An enhanced enewsletter for Campus Weekly was created in 2017.

The current Campus Weekly posts, as well as archived ones, are available at campusweekly.uncg.edu.

Mike Harris is editor of Campus Weekly, a role he has held since 2006. In addition, he is editor of UNCG Magazine and co-editor of UNCG Research Magazine. He contributes some of the stories for each of them, as do University Communications writers Susan Kirby-Smith and Matt Bryant. If you have a story idea, question or comment, contact the editor here.
