UNCG Campus Weekly

Campus Weekly is published each Wednesday when classes are in session. In the summer, it is published biweekly.

What is Campus Weekly … and how do I submit information?

Campus Weekly is a news source for UNCG faculty and staff. It provides details of upcoming events and information faculty and staff may need to know. In addition, it serves a community-building function, allowing readers to learn news in other departments and schools, as well as learn a bit more about individuals around campus.

It supports the UNCG Strategic Plan 2009-2014 in core values of inclusiveness, collaboration, sustainability, responsibility and transparency.

Campus Weekly is published by University Relations.

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday at 5 p.m., which is a week before posting date. Submissions will be edited for consistency in style, tone and length.

In Fall 2009, Campus Weekly became an exclusively online publication, first in pdf format, then in January 2010 in an online format. Its current format was established in August 2011.

The current Campus Weekly, as well as archived issues, will be available at campusweekly.uncg.edu.

Mike Harris is editor of Campus Weekly. In addition, he is assistant editor of UNCG Magazine and UNCG Research Magazine. He contributes some of the stories for each of them. He received his MA in English (Composition and Rhetoric) at UNCG in 1993 and has been Campus Weekly editor since 2006. If you have a story idea, question or comment, contact him.

Mark Unrue is art director for Campus Weekly, a position he has held since 2000. Before joining UNCG, he was a graphic designer at Randolph Community College. If you have a question or comment related to visuals or art work, contact him.
