Join us for this free lecture in UNC Greensboro’s 2023-24 Harriet Elliott Lecture Series, hosted by the Department of Political Science and the College of Arts & Sciences.
Dr. Candis Watts Smith is a professor of political science at Duke University. In this lecture, Smith will discuss race and ethnicity’s role in shaping the American political landscape.
Smith’s research illuminates the ways in which demographic dynamics influence citizens’ and denizens’ of the U.S. understanding of their own identity, their political attitudes, and their policy preferences. She is also a co-host of the Democracy Works podcast.
Free and open to the public.
