Photo Assignment Requests
Please allow sufficient time (ten or more business days in advance) whenever possible. Please allow at least ten working days for delivery of photographs to the online photo library in Canto.
Note: In some circumstances, photography requests may be outsourced—in these cases, subsequent costs incurred will be the responsibility of the requesting department or office.Â
PHOTO RELEASES
A process and guidelines have been established for obtaining photo release forms from key subjects in photos to be used by UNCG in print and electronic publications. Departments requesting photography services are responsible for getting the photo releases signed by the subjects in the photos.
For more information see the Photo Release Process doc and the Photo Release Guidelines in the UC Brand Guide.
NOTE: University Procurement now provides Photography and Videography convenience contracts. Using these vendors provides a more streamlined process to hiring a contractual photographer or videography team for your departmental needs. Utilizing providers not on this list may require completion of the RFQ and/or the RFP process. When you request a quote from one of these providers please make sure that RFP #69-3321 is referenced on the document. The subsequent costs incurred will be the responsibility of the requesting department or office. Care should be exercised so that actual costs for production are fully understood.
Staff/Faculty Portrait Appointments
University Communications is committed to helping all University departments keep their directories fresh with updated photos of staff and faculty. To this end, we offer regular photo sittings at our studio at 1100 West Market St., free of charge.
The portrait sessions will provide standard studio lighting and a tasteful gray background. Faculty and staff who need an updated headshot can sign up for an appointment on select Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. A full day of sessions will also be scheduled at the start of every semester.
If you are a new employee or in need of an updated headshot, please sign up for an appointment using the links below:
